David Horowitz's Bau-Blox in Art Yard's "Shoes, A Love Story"

  • Art Yard 13 Front Street Frenchtown, NJ, 08825 United States (map)

David P. Horowitz is thrilled to announce that his Bau-Blox will be utilized in the installation of Art Yard's upcoming Exhibition: "Shoes, A Love Story".

This Exhibit will run from Feb 18th—May 21st, 2023.

It is curated by Jill Kearney, who grew up wearing orthopedic shoes

On Saturday Feb 8th, from 6-8pm, all are invited to a reception at ArtYard celebrating the opening of this Show, plus two other distinct exhibitions that are different approaches to finding beauty and engaging in creativity around unauthored objects hiding in plain sight.

"Shoes, A Love Story" invites an assembly of timeworn, misshapen loafers, slippers, clown shoes, cowboy boots, disco platforms, mukluks, baby boots, wedding shoes, miners boots, sandals, saddle shoes, moon boots, tap shoes, wingtips, and flip flops to hint at their mysterious and beguiling wordless narratives. The exhibition is curated and collected by a person processing certain losses and coming to grips with the ugliness of perfection and the beauty of certain ugly things.
